According to the WHO the leading cause of death worldwide is Ischaemic heart disease (IHD). It develops as the coronary arteries gradually narrow, largely driven by elevated blood pressure and declining vascular elasticity.
The difficulty is that IHD remains clinically silent until late-stage symptoms appear. By then, damage is established, leaving patients with lifelong medication and the awareness that earlier detection could have changed their trajectory.
For years, medicine has focused on treating the outcomes rather than identifying risk early. Then we saw how much physiological insight is encoded in a simple fingertip PPG waveform, blood pressure patterns, arterial stiffness, vascular compliance. A continuous view of vascular health long before symptoms emerge.
That insight reframed everything. It became our mission to build the first ring designed to monitor vascular health while you sleep, quietly removing the element of surprise from cardiovascular disease.
