Everything is packaged with care—ready for pairing and designed to fit effortlessly into your life. 

While Velia rings follow standard outer dimensions, the integrated sensor technology makes the fit feel slightly more snug than a traditional ring. To ensure comfort and accuracy, we recommend using our Velia sizing kit before finalizing your order. 

Wear it for at least 24 hours—including overnight. Your fingers naturally expand and contract throughout the day due to factors like temperature, activity, and hydration. Wearing the sizer through a full day and night helps you find the most comfortable and secure fit. Your ideal size should feel snug but not tight, and the ring shouldn’t rotate during daily movement.

You can wear Velia on any finger—choose the one that feels most comfortable and fits your lifestyle. Just make sure the fit is snug enough to stay in place but not too tight. 

 

To begin setup, make sure your ring is fully charged and your phone’s Bluetooth is turned on. Then, download the Velia app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your ring and create your profile. 

Yes, we recommend placing your Velia ring on the charger before setup to ensure it has enough power to pair and update firmware if needed. A fully charged ring makes the process smoother. 

The Velia Ring connects to your phone via Bluetooth. Once Bluetooth is enabled on your device, the Velia app will automatically search for nearby rings. To connect, double tap your ring to start the ring’s Bluetooth advertising, so the app can recognize it. When prompted, simply confirm pairing on your phone.

You’ll need: 

  • A compatible smartphone with Bluetooth enabled 
  • The Velia app downloaded on your device 
  • Your ring fully charged and very close to your device 

The app will walk you through the rest—pairing your ring, adjusting settings, and syncing your data. 

Finger size can naturally fluctuate throughout the day due to temperature, movement, hydration, or even travel. If you find that your Velia ring is feeling snug or difficult to remove, don’t worry—there are a few simple steps you can take: 

  • Apply cool water and gentle soap to your finger, then slowly and gently twist the ring as you slide it off. 
  • Raise your hand above your heart for a few minutes to help reduce any temporary swelling, then try again. 
  • Avoid forcing the ring off, especially if your finger feels swollen or sensitive. If you're unable to remove the ring or are experiencing pain, please seek medical assistance. Health professionals have the tools and expertise to safely remove rings without causing harm. 

Important: Velia rings are made of durable titanium and should only be cut by trained professionals using appropriate tools. Cutting the ring at home or without proper equipment is not recommended and can lead to injury. 

It’s best to avoid applying lotions, creams, or oils directly around the ring, as residue can build up on the surface and affect sensor performance.

Occasional contact with hand soap or sanitizer is fine, just rinse the ring with clean water afterward and dry it thoroughly.

However, prolonged or repeated exposure to alcohol-based products may dull the finish over time.

Velia is water-resistant up to 100 meters, but we recommend avoiding salt water, saunas, and chlorinated hot tubs when possible. These environments can wear down the surface materials and affect long-term performance.

Yes, Velia is water-resistant up to 100 meters, so it’s safe to wear while swimming, showering, or during everyday exercise. Whether you’re in the pool, on a run, or simply washing your hands, your ring is built to keep pace.  That said, we recommend removing Velia during heavy weightlifting. Using metal bars, dumbbells, or kettlebells can scratch or dent the ring’s surface and may pinch the skin between your finger and the equipment. While this doesn’t affect the battery, repeated impact could interfere with the internal sensors over time.  To help maintain the ring’s finish, avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals like strong soaps, cleaning agents, or chlorinated hot tubs. 

 

To keep your Velia ring in top condition, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. If needed, use mild, non-abrasive soap and water. Make sure to dry it thoroughly before wearing or charging. Avoid harsh cleaning products, alcohol-based solutions, or abrasive materials, as these may damage the ring’s finish or sensors. 

Velia delivers daily, weekly, and monthly insights to help you understand your body’s patterns and trends. The data captured from the ring provides personalized guidance when it detects meaningful changes—offering recommendations to support your health and overall well-being.

If you're not wearing your ring for an extended period, place it on the Velia charger (unplugged is fine) to keep it safe and avoid unnecessary wear. Try to store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.

Place your ring on the charging stand by aligning the Velia logo on the inner shell of the ring to the small dot on the base of the charging stand (near the charger’s port). After a few seconds, you’ll see green LEDs begin to pulse, indicating the ring is charging. 

Yes, gradual battery degradation is a natural part of any rechargeable device’s lifecycle—including the Velia ring. The ring is powered by a non-replaceable lithium polymer (LiPo) battery designed for long-term performance. Over time and with repeated charging, you may notice a slight reduction in battery life, which is expected and not considered a defect. 

 This type of wear is common across wearable technology and varies based on your charging habits, usage frequency, and environmental exposure.  To extend battery health and lifespan:  

  • Avoid overcharging or leaving the ring on the charger once full 
  • Use only your official Velia wireless charger 
  • Store and wear the ring in moderate temperatures 

To check your battery, take off your ring and double tap it.
The lights will glow twice:

  • Green means charged
  • Red means below 30%
  • No lights means it’s time to recharge

Charging takes around 20 minutes.

The Velia app is available for both iOS and Android smartphones. To ensure the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of your device’s operating system. 

Yes, you can connect multiple Velia rings to the same account—but only one ring can be active at a time. If you switch to a different ring, you will need to disconnect a ring so you can connect to the new ring.

To ensure the best performance and latest features, always keep your Velia app and ring firmware updated. Updates are released regularly and may roll out gradually to users across iOS and Android.As long as your ring is paired and charged, we will notify you via the app when an update is ready.

You can delete your account and all associated data in two ways: 1. Via the Velia App: Tap the 3 lines in the top left of the app's homepage. Select Edit Profile > Erase Account and confirm to permanently delete your account. 2. Via email: Send a request to contact@veliaring.community, and our team will assist you. Once your account is deleted, all data will be permanently removed in accordance with our privacy policy.

Velia ships directly to customers from its official website and authorized sales partners. Delivery timeframes vary based on location, shipping method selected at checkout, and local carrier conditions. Once your order has been placed, you’ll receive confirmation and tracking details via email. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, even in the event of a return or warranty claim.

As stated in the Shipping Policy, orders may require additional duties or import fees. Please check your local government or tax commission’s website for more information on applicable, additional charges.

Returns are accepted only in compliance with applicable consumer protection laws (e.g., 14 days in the EU or UK). Outside those jurisdictions, Velia does not offer general returns. If a return is permitted, the product must be unused, undamaged, and sealed in its original packaging. Opened, worn, or app-paired items are not eligible for return. Acceptable return reasons include: wrong item, damage upon delivery, or a confirmed defect upon initial use. Change-of-mind returns are accepted only where legally required and for unopened items. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless otherwise stated by local law. Refunds, if applicable, are processed only after inspection and approval.  

Products purchased second-hand or from unauthorized resellers are not eligible for return or refund. 

Velia provides a limited warranty covering material and workmanship defects under normal use: 

  • Switzerland & EU: 2 years (minimum, per statutory law) 
  • United Kingdom: 2 years 
  • United States & Canada: 1 year 

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and covers repair, replacement, or refund at Velia’s discretion. It excludes damage from misuse, unauthorized modifications, environmental conditions, or normal wear and tear (including expected battery degradation). Warranty claims must include valid proof of purchase and may require diagnostic info or product return. Coverage is void if the product was purchased from unauthorized resellers or marketplaces. 

 

How do I initiate a warranty claim or request a repair/replacement? 

To initiate a warranty claim, contact Velia’s customer support at support@veliaring.com. You may be asked to submit proof of purchase, photos, or diagnostic information. In some cases, you’ll be required to return the product for inspection. Claims will be processed only if the defect is verified and the product was purchased through an authorized channel

  1. If your Velia ring isn’t charging, try the following steps: Check alignment: Make sure the Velia logo on the inner shell of the ring is aligned with the small dot near the charging port on the base of the Velia charger. The green LEDs on the charger should begin to pulse within a few seconds once the ring is correctly positioned. 
  2. Inspect the charger: Ensure the charging stand and USB-C cable are securely connected to a power source. Try using a different USB-C port or adapter if needed. 
  3. Clean the ring and charger: Gently wipe the bottom of the ring and the charging surface with a soft, dry cloth to remove any debris or moisture. 
  4. Restart the app or phone: If your ring appears connected but not charging, restart your phone and relaunch the Velia app to refresh the connection. 

 

If the ring still won’t charge, please contact our support team at support@veliaring.com for further help. 

First, make sure Bluetooth is turned on and your ring is charged.
Your ring must be within range of your phone and not connected to another device.

With the latest app and firmware update, your ring will only connect after you double tap it.
To connect, double tap anywhere on your ring, then open the Velia app.

If your ring still isn’t connecting, try the steps below:

  1. Double tap your ring again to start the ring’s Bluetooth advertising.
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Turn Bluetooth off and back on in your phone’s settings.
  4. Force close and reopen the Velia app.
  5. Stay close to your ring while your phone is searching for it.

If it still doesn’t connect, place your ring on the charger for a few minutes, then try double tapping again.

Go to your phone’s Bluetooth settings, find “Velia Ring” followed by your ring’s color, size, and numbers under connected devices, and tap the icon to the right of the name. Remove the device from your Bluetooth settings. Then, return to the Velia app and try connecting again.

No, the ring can only pair with one device at a time. If you’ve recently changed phones, make sure to unpair the ring from the old device before pairing it to your new one.

Make sure the Velia app is open, your phone is nearby, and Bluetooth is turned on.

With the latest update, your ring only syncs after a double tap.
To start syncing, double tap your ring twice gently, then open the Velia app.

If syncing still doesn’t happen, try the steps below:

  1. Double tap your ring again to start the ring’s Bluetooth advertising.
  2. Ensure the ring isn’t connected to another app or device.
  3. Place your ring on the charger for a few minutes to trigger a reconnect.
  4. Restart the Velia app and try again.

Yes, Velia offers a factory reset option that can be triggered directly through the Velia app. To reset your ring, ensure it’s on the charging dock and within Bluetooth range of your phone. Then, follow the reset instructions in the app settings.  A factory reset will erase all stored data on the ring and return it to its original state. 

Double tap is a new way to interact with your Velia Ring.
Now, you’ll double tap your ring to sync your data and check your battery — all without opening the app.

This update gives you more control over when your ring connects, helping you spend less time on your screen and more time being present.

To use double tap, make sure you have the minimum Velia app version 1.0.36 or later and your ring is updated to firmware version 0.9.155 or later.

The required firmware version will be available through the Velia app — simply follow the in-app update process when prompted.

Tap your ring twice in a quick, confident rhythm anywhere on its outer surface — just like double tapping your phone screen.

Make sure both taps happen within about half a second. If the taps are too light, the ring may not detect them. When the gesture is recognised, your ring will briefly glow twice to confirm, then connect or check your battery status.

Simply double tap anywhere on your ring. Within seconds, your ring begins syncing your latest data.The connection ends automatically once syncing is complete — you can reconnect anytime with another double tap.

You’ll know your ring is connected when the last sync time updates and your ring’s battery level appears at the top right of your home screen in the Velia app.

These updates confirm your ring has successfully connected and synced your latest data.

No. When your ring is charging, it connects to the app automatically, keeping everything in sync while you recharge.

To check your battery, take off your ring and double tap it.
The lights will glow twice:

  2. Try double tapping again — two steady, gentle taps.
  3. If you still don’t see lights, place your ring on the charger for a few minutes and try again.
  4. If the issue continues, check that your app and firmware are up to date.
    You’ll need at least app version {X} and firmware version {Y} for Double Tap to work.

Don’t worry — your data is not lost.

Any data collected before your ring ran out of battery is safely stored, and will sync automatically once you recharge and reconnect. While your ring has no battery, it can’t collect new data — but it will start tracking again as soon as it’s charged.
